Chapter 1 - Getting Started

In this opening chapter to Unity Fundamentals we look at the core topics covered within subsequent chapters in this module as well as get you set by downloading and installing the free version of Unity.

Once you have the software installed we'll configure the project settings for the remainder of the lessons which will focus on processes and techniques to use Unity for essential tasks such as creating game objects, terrain (ground, water, sky, trees, etc.), cameras, lights and particle systems. We'll also look ahead at how some of these items come together including the use of pre-existing 3d models and custom pre-fabs.

When I start a new project, I have a lot more packages that are selectable. However the "Standard" package has "mobile" in parentheses and it appears as this: Standard Assets (Mobile).unityPackage

Is this still the package I need to import to follow the tutorials?

Why does the trainer sound so tired? And also his voice is wobbling like he has been bullied?
