In this tutorial you'll learn the basic steps to setting up a Kinect development environment for the Unreal Development Kit. You'll start by downloading and installing the NIUI API. Then move on to creating the proper project file directories. Finally you'll add a command line argument to the UDK Editor and run your Kinect sample project.

In this chapter we'll download and install the Unreal Development Kit and NIUI API. With our programs downloaded and installed we'll copy our project files in the correct directories.
