Well im sorry to say this, its time to lick our wounds and move on. Fox Delta games will not make the tank game we originally planed to make. We instead are going to make a tactical shooter. this tactical shooter is something we wanted to make in a very long time since we started making games and before we started making games.
This Tactical shooter we are going to make will try to follow the game play of SOCOM U.S. Navy Seals and the first original Ghost Recon games. As well try to see if we can add features found in other tactical shooters like Rainbow Six Vegas and the GRAW games. That being said we will try not to add game features that you see in GRAW or any advance military technology that will make the game easier to beat.
We already begin developing the first map for the game that we will release for alpha so people can play. This map is planed to be single player map, with the map being NOT to liner and NOT to open world. If anyone ever played a Ghost Recon game back from the PS2 era or SOCOM, the maps where nice in size and give the player lots of rooms to execute the mission the way they please.
For now the the mission for the level that we are making is for the player to go inside a drug compound located some where in South America and blow up a cocaine factory.
The game will be in 3rd person camera, the idea for the game is for the player to use stealth and come up with there own tactics to complete the mission. There will be a point system where the player can use to unlock weapons, outfits etc. There will be multi-player in the game which will feature a few game modes.
We are excited to make this game, we also gotten more people in the team that are skilled in level design, character design etc.
I will keep this group updated as much as I can, I hope with in the next few week can get a few screen shots of the game uploaded. Also we now made a forum section in our web site so people can post up topics and talk there about our game.
So please stay tune.
